Feed the Need-Fuel the Hope
Offering Hope
Building Stronger Communities
At Feed the Need, we spread the love of Jesus by feeding people both physically and spiritually. Multiple times each month, we provide lunch, food pantry items and personal care items to families and individuals in need, reminding them they are seen, valued, and not alone. Together, we’re building stronger communities through compassion and care.
In Connecticut, 1 in 7 residents — over 516,000 people, including 1 in 6 children — faces food insecurity. In the rural Quiet Corner, centered on Windham County, the challenge is even more pressing, with local rates often exceeding the state average due to lower incomes, limited access, and transportation barriers. Demand at area food pantries continues to rise as inflation, higher grocery costs, and the end of pandemic supports place greater strain on families.
